An update regarding the Te Rohe o Rongokako Joint Redress Bill (Joint Redress Bill) and the Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tāmaki nui-ā-Rua Claims Settlement Bill (Claims Settlement Bill).
The Joint Redress Bill is scheduled for first reading on Wednesday 30 March; the Claims Settlement Bill will be read after that. Submissions will open after the First Reading. There will be a 4-8 week period to write and submit on one or both Bills. Both Bills will progress through the Māori Affairs Select Committee, chaired by Tāmati Coffey MP.
